Our last day in Oahu. Seems like we just arrived!
We spent the day at Ehukai beach. (we called it the big wave beach) Unfortunately there was a high surf alert so we couldn't go in the water but still managed to get wet a few times while walking as the waves sometimes came in closer and faster than we expected. We thought the waves the other day were incredible but today was even more incredible! Kathy met us at the beach and brought us some Hawaiian food. Kathy went to school with Bob and Joanne and has been in Hawaii for about 25 years! We sampled a few different dishes. Delish!! Thanks Kathy! So nice of you! Kathy also brought us our race packets for the race we are all running in tomorrow!
There were frequent helicopters overhead looking for the wreckage of the tragic helicopter crash yesterday.
We are sad to say good bye to Oahu but the race is a great way to end it and then we have a full week in Maui! The fun continues!
